Artist Biography
Ursula Reese was born and educated in Hamburg, Germany. She
has lived in many parts of the world, Canada, however,
is the country of her choice. It is there, where
she realized her lifelong desire to paint.
Pastel allows Ursula to work continuously and rapidly with
bold colour. Depending on material, Ursula uses a variety
of pastel techniques.
Ursula's favourite painting locations are found in Ontario
and especially in Algonquin Park, where the dramatic
colour change of the seasons are best expressed in pastel.
Her paintings, especially Ursula's pastel miniature,
have attracted a large circle of friends in Canada,
the United States and many European countries.
An experienced instructor, Ursula Reese is a Signature Member of
the Society of Canadian Artists, and the Pastel Artists Canada. She is Past President of Central Ontario Art
Association and the Co-founder and Past President of Pastel
Artists Canada.
